Isn’t that sweet? The right “reverend” Rick Warren has “reached out” to openly homosexual Episcopalian bishop Gene Robinson by praising Obama-messiah for selecting Robinson to give the invocation at the inaugural opening ceremony this Sunday.
And how does Rick Warren justify this extraordinary “olive branch” to the openly homosexual bishop? Well, Warren says the selection of the homo bishop “demonstrates Obama’s genuine commitment to bringing all Americans of goodwill together in search of common ground.”
So I guess that means the rest of us are not “Americans of good will.”
The problem is this: Our heavenly Father has clearly and distinctly stated that homosexuality is an abomination to Him. Homosexuals were never allowed into the priesthood from the time our heavenly Father gave the instructions for forming it under Moses, until today. Which, pure and simple, means that any avowed homosexual “priest,” “pastor,” “bishop,” “reverend,” “deacon,” or what have you, is operating outside of God’s Word. Which means he is a fake.
In short, he is an unbeliever of our heavenly Father’s Word, masquerading as a believer. Or perhaps better stated, he is an unbeliever playing church. And our heavenly Father’s Word is extremely clear on the idea of coming “together in search of common ground” with unbelievers:
2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Christians who want their heavenly Father to treat them like sons and daughters need to take heed to His Word. It is that simple. Otherwise, you are treated like outcasts.
Bringing homosexuality straight into the highest office of our land by allowing a homosexual “priest” to give the Sunday invocation at the inauguration is not going to please our heavenly Father. His blessings will not be on this administration for openly and willfully flouting His Word and showing utter disdain for it right from the start, all in the name of “reaching out for common ground.”
Our instructions are clear: “Come out from among them.” “Be ye separate.” “Touch not the unclean thing.” Short of their repentance, stay clear of these people, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, “that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Pastor Rick Warren Reaches Out to Homosexual Bishop Gene Robinson
By Jacqui Salmon
The Rev. Rick Warren, the conservative evangelical minister who will deliver the invocation at Barack Obama’s inauguration, has extended an olive branch to Bishop V. Gene Robinson.
Robinson, an openly gay Episcopal bishop, had reacted angrily to the selection of Warren, who opposes gay marriage, calling it a “slap in the face.” But then Robinson was selected this week to give the invocation at the inaugural opening ceremony at the Sunday afternoon concert on the Mall.
Today, Warren issued a statement praising Obama for selecting Robinson, saying the president-elect “has again demonstrated his genuine commitment to bringing all Americans of goodwill together in search of common ground. I applaud his desire to be the president of every citizen.”
